Bali, also known as the “Land of the Gods”, is the most famous island in Indonesia. It stakes a serious claim to be paradise on earth. Travel & Leisure Magazine called Bali the World’s Best Island in 2009, while Lonely Planet’s Best of Travel 2010 guide ranked Bali second among the world’s top regions.
Bali’s looming volcanoes and lush, terraced rice fields exude both serenity and sublimity. Bali is known for its dramatic dances, intricately carved temples, colorful ceremonies, arts and crafts, luxurious beach resorts and exciting night life. From inspirational spirituality to fine dining and meeting experiences, from world class surfing and diving to exhilarating treks in the wild, this exotic island has much to offer.
But even beyond its material appeals, Bali has a special vibe, a magical essence, that is difficult to describe. It has touched and inspired visitors from all over the world for centuries.
Ubud, where our yoga teacher training is located, is a small town in central Bali. Far removed from the beach party scene, Ubud is the cultural center of Bali. Much of the town and nearby villages consist of artists’ workshops and galleries. The ubiquitous creativity, remarkable architecture and calm, warm vibe make Ubud a perfect place to relax, recharge and, of course, practice yoga.
We searched every corner of Bali before deciding on NaraSoma the moment we stepped onto the property. The owner, Charlotte, has expressly developed this special place to accommodate other spiritual individuals and yogis to support their path.
Narasoma has 22 rooms and 3 beautiful Yoga Shalas as well as spa facilities including a swimming pool and tea house. Just off the busy street on Monkey Forest Road down Beji Lane, Narasoma is a tranquil oasis. Yet it’s also within minutes’ walk of shops, restaurants and coffee shops. It is the last bit of natural sanctuary, besides the monkey forest, in the centre of Ubud. When you need something for your daily needs, everything is within 2-3 minutes of walking distance. In short, you get best of both worlds here.
Though these pictures couldn’t possibly do this place justice, they’ll give you a sense for what the Narasoma looks and feels like.
Narasoma has wide range of rooms and villas to suite everyone’s needs. Take a look at some of them and let us know if you have any questions!
This is where we have our daily breakfast. You can also grab quick bites to eat here at any time of day.
There are three beautiful yoga halls in this property, one of which our teacher training group has exclusive access.
If you feel more like relaxing, enjoy the huge swimming pool.
Narasoma offers different types of spa treatments, including Deep Tissue Massage, Balinese Massage, for your breaks or free time. Prices start at 10 USD.
Although many people don’t realize it, diet is an integral part of yoga. Much of the yogic prescription for food comes straight from the yamas and niyimas as articulated in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra.
The Yoga Diet isn’t about losing weight or being skinny. Instead, it’s about getting aligned with nature and learning to eat in a way that connects you with yourself and the planet. On the Yoga Diet, you’ll eat living, fresh foods and plenty of grounding, healing foods. The idea behind the diet is to create balance and strength in the body and provide healing to the organs and the blood. It’s a physically energizing and an emotionally calming diet.
Siddhi Yoga’s foundation is a healing-focused therapeutic technique and workout program based on proper alignment, anatomical awareness and education.
Our primary goal is to provide a holistic teacher training program. We want to not only prepare you to be a fantastic yoga instructor, but also to help you grow your practice and learn all aspects of the yogic lifestyle.
This program stretches beyond the physical practice of yoga and dives into the mental and spiritual side, as well. You will be pushed beyond your limits in all areas of life—providing you with the opportunity to grow as a yogi and a human being.
From the history of yoga to human anatomy and physiology, we’ll cover topics you didn’t even know existed.
This is not a training course that simply has its students practice for eight hours a day. No, this is a course that will help students become teachers, as well as cultivate a solid physical and spiritual practice.
We’ll cover meditation, chakras and pranayama. You’ll go from practicing yogi to full-time yogi in the course of a month.
However, we want to make sure you maintain balance in your life. That’s why we’ve created our program to include excursions and free time to explore your surrounding area. We’ll hold bonfires, prayer sessions and kirtan, and there are plenty of other activities around the city to keep you busy each weekend.
As for what you’ll learn throughout the course, the list is endless. But to give you an idea, we’ll cover:
We offer a breath-based instructor training, which means your breath will guide you through the proper posture. The improper use of the muscles involved in breathing, such as the diaphragm, leaves other muscles strained with overuse, a prime physiological reason for muscle stress injuries.
However, an undeveloped breathing pattern is a powerful source of numerous psychological problems as well. This is why, along with the proper poses and counter-poses, specific pranayama practices will be taught to bring the body into perfect equilibrium.
Postural adjustment through yoga asana is a traditional and unique scientific practice. Yoga teachers and therapists with knowledge of this specific technique can help practitioners use their bodies in a more balanced and correct way, both in their yoga practice as well as daily life.
Additionally, you will be taught the importance of a proper muscle warm-up to prevent injury and help future students into poses more safely. We’ll discuss the use of props like blocks, blankets, chairs, bolsters, etc. to reap the full benefits of asana and to promote healing and recovery from injuries while aiding in proper bodily alignment.
Siddhi Yoga’s Teacher Training is the perfect environment to step outside your comfort zone and explore new aspects of yourself. The calming environment will help you tune out and tune in to your deepest self. You’ll have the opportunity to rediscover and reinvent yourself.
You will experience yoga as a lifestyle instead of a simple practice, and you’ll leave ready to begin the journey of your career as a yoga teacher.
This training course follows comprehensive Yoga Alliance guidelines, and complements these with rich teachings of traditional yoga that have been handed down to Indian yoga gurus from their ancestors. This creates a deeply yogic environment, going beyond the asanas to provide a comprehensive learning experience to students.

The 200HR Siddhi Yoga TTC in Bali was one of the very best experiences of my life & I would highly recommend the program to anyone who is sincerely searching for truth and a deeper life experience, as the course was just as much philosophical as it was about learning alignment & postures. Personally, the program affected me on a deep level, and I experienced major shifts in consciousness and emotional releases throughout the program. There were times when I felt confused and out of my element, but the teachers were right there to support me with patience and acceptance, and I always felt safe to express myself honestly & freely.
I feel very fortunate to have studied with Deep & Gurumuk who are so loving, patient & genuine, and I honestly can't imagine a better team to study yoga with. Deep is a high-energy, charismatic and funny speaker and a strong team leader. Each day was planned with a clear theme among the various classes with ample reinforcement of the key concepts throughout the day. The flow of the course progressed naturally and it felt almost effortless for the students to absorb the safety points and teaching methodology ~ it never felt rushed or as if the teachers had to push to get any point across.
While Deep's method is very real-world & practical, Gurumuk gave us yet another perspective, bringing us to a space of expanded consciousness with various meditations, mind bending philosophy dialogues and ecstatic dance. Even outside of the official class hours, Gurumuk would invite the group to sing Kirtan (he has a wonderful voice!) and continue the discussions from class. In addition, Dr. Sumit tied in the information from the anatomical perspective & gave us many useful tools on how to further help ourselves & our students to do adjustments safely, open up the muscles and work with injuries.
Last but not least, Meera & Rajesh from Siddhi Yoga did an amazing job organizing the course ~ the location in Bali was just magical, the food was of the very best quality and the value we received from the course went above & beyond my expectations! I'm forever grateful to the organizers and teachers, and wish them all the best in bringing enlightenment & joy to all their future students.
We all are in our own ways, striving to keep ourselves in a balance of both, physical and emotional aspects of health. When I was recommended to do this 200 hours Siddhi Yoga teacher's training course, I was very skeptical to take a month away from my work and family and do this course in Bali. However, I was struggling with many medical challenges since many years and thought it as the last chance to try to do something about them without medication.
I feel blessed to have taken this course in Bali. Narasoma resort is the perfect place to do this course because of its abundant natural beauty.
Deep, our yoga teacher is the best teacher I have ever met in my life. He teaches from his heart. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his subject. He goes out all the way to see to it that each and every student in the class has understood what is being taught. Vast experience, deep knowledge and intense Love for what he does, are the characteristics which I highly respect him for.
Gurmukh ji, teaches Philosophy, but actually he takes you by your hand through your heart to meet yourself in the depths that you may never ever be able to touch without this amazing teacher.
My anxiety and restlessness has disappeared and I have learnt how to keep watching myself effortlessly without even realizing it. The meditation sessions that we did with Gurmukh ji made me churn my deepest emotions and filter out everything that was not needed connected to my soul.
Dr Sumit is a phenomenal anatomy teacher who makes this science an absolute fun to study. Performing the yoga poses to their perfection became absolutely easy and scientifically logical.
Siddhi Yoga in Bali was a life time experience for me. I have returned with a treasure of understanding the root cause of my medical and emotional handicaps and above all the ways, means, tools and maps of how to manage my self inside out through Yoga practice.
I highly recommend Siddhi Yoga TTC to each and everyone out there irrespective of what and who you are.
Signing up for Siddhi Yoga's 200 hour YTT course in Bali was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Everything about the program exceeded my expectations, from the beautiful accommodation to the delicious food and most importantly the insightful teachers. We were blessed to have Deep and Gurumuhk leading the course, their knowledge regarding yoga and health was inspiring while their passion and laughter were infectious! I am grateful to Siddhi Yoga for this unique experience and can happily say that I am feeling more grounded, healthy and connected than ever before. Thank you!!
I did the Yoga Teacher Training 200hr in Ubud, Bali in September. It was fantastic! I learnt so much about the body, correct alignment, posture, philosophy... living and breathing yoga for one month. I felt like a new person at the end of it- so healthy and equipped with skills that I will use forever. Deep, Gurumuk and Dr Sumit shared their in-depth knowledge with us, and their passion, enthusiasm and care was wonderful.
I did the course in Ubud Bali, the whole experience for a month was very nice we learned, we correct positions, the place couldn't be more beautiful, teachers we transmitted their knowledge and passion for yoga not only as a way of taking care of your body but as A way of life which personally i am very grateful for this month they taught us and gave us the tools to improve our quality of life.
An amazing experience & life changing moments. Knowledge of the key elements of yoga in physical postures, anatomy & philosophical teachings were mind blowing. Changed my perception of yoga & will carry it forever.
What an amazing course!! I just finished the course in Bali at a beautiful resort tucked away in Ubud. The course was headed by Deep and what an amazing teacher of all aspects of yoga, not just physical. I came to Siddhi Yoga with many physical limitations and Deep modified the practice to support my body, instead of trying to fit me into a mold. The amount of love and attention to the students doesn’t end when you walk out of the classroom. The course goes deep into the philosophies of living a yoga lifestyle, as well as training you to guide people safely through a yoga asana practice. Guru Mukh's philosophy class dives into the mind and ego and his meditation classes help to clear out the junk. I absolutely recommend this course!
This year 2018 we don’t have any training in Bali. However we do have in Rishikesh and Dharamshala at 25% of the price of Bali training. Click on the link below to get more information about our yoga teacher training courses in India.
