Kundalini Yoga Texas

Kundalini Yoga, which is often called the yoga of awareness, is more than just physical postures. It’s a dynamic mix of movement, breathwork, chanting, and meditation created to awaken the inner energy that rests at the base of the spine. When this energy rises, it is said to bring clarity, vitality, and a deeper sense of purpose.

Kundalini Yoga Texas

The roots of Kundalini Yoga in Texas come from the 1970s, when the teachings of Yogi Bhajan, the spiritual teacher who introduced Kundalini Yoga to the West, began to reach communities here. His students carried the practice into Texas with the vision of offering people tools for strength, balance, and spiritual growth in their daily lives.

Since then, practicing Kundalini Yoga has slowly grown across the Lone Star State. From Austin to Dallas, San Antonio to Houston, studios and kri certified instructors have created welcoming spaces for people of all ages and backgrounds. What began as small gatherings has now turned into a lively community. Here, chanting mantras, practicing breathwork, and moving with awareness have become a way for Texans to recharge, heal, and connect more deeply with themselves.

Let’s check out the studios for Kundalini Yoga Texas –

Flow Yoga

Flow Yoga

About –

Flow Yoga was opened in 2012 with a dream to create more than just a yoga studio. It was meant to be a space where people could feel at home, slow down, and connect with themselves and others. The idea came from Carolina, a yoga teacher who had spent over a decade traveling the world sharing yoga, meditation, and sound healing. She wanted to bring that same sense of peace and community to Austin.

What started as a small, friendly gathering soon grew into a studio filled with warmth, free mats and props, cozy tea lounges, and classes that welcomed everyone from beginners to seasoned practitioners.

Today, Flow Yoga has become one of Austin’s most loved yoga communities, offering hundreds of classes each month, unique events, and a welcoming team of teachers. From its humble start to now, the vision to make yoga and wellness easy, joyful, and accessible for everyone has stayed the same!

Kundalini Yoga Offerings –

  • Regular Kundalini Yoga Classes – These are scheduled and stand-alone sessions focused on Kundalini practice, which includes breathwork, movement, chanting, and dynamic sequences for mental clarity, emotional well-being, chronic pain, and physical strength.

Divine Yoga

Divine Yoga

About –

Divine Yoga opened its doors in 2006 as the first kundalini yoga San Antonio TX studio. It was created by Amrit Kaur Khalsa, a local who had been practicing since the mid-90s and dreamed of sharing this powerful practice with her community. She wanted to build a space where people could feel calm, safe, and supported away from the rush of daily life.

Soon, Amrit was joined by her husband, Mhan Rishi Singh Khalsa, who had been on the Kundalini path since the 1970s and brought decades of wisdom from ashram life. Together, they poured their hearts into making Divine Yoga a place for healing, meditation, and self-discovery of the soul.

What started as a vision became a warm and welcoming studio filled with kriyas, mantras, breath work, and the soothing sound of the gong. Divine Yoga gives people a home for inner peace, spiritual growth, and a community that feels like family!

Sukha Yoga Austin

Sukha Yoga Austin

About –

Sukha Yoga was established in 2015 in Austin with a clear purpose to create a yoga home where everyone could feel welcome. The studio was founded by Mark Herron and Erinn Lewis, a husband-and-wife team who wanted to combine open heart, art, consciousness, fun, and community into one beautiful space!

The name “Sukha” means sweetness, ease, and joy in Sanskrit, and that is exactly the feeling they wished to share. Right from the start, their vision was to go beyond the idea of a typical yoga studio. They wanted a (retreat kind of) place filled with warmth, where people could gather, breathe, move, and feel connected, not just to yoga, but with each other!

They bring a bright studio, a cozy lounge, and inviting classes together to form an environment that feels both uplifting and grounding. Now the place has grown into a beloved kundalini yoga Austin TX community, offering a wide range of practices from Kundalini and Vinyasa to meditation and sound healing!
