Yoga District was founded in 2006, when a young teacher named Jasmine Chehrazi decided to follow her heart and bring yoga to Washington, D.C. After leaving her office, she opened the first Yoga District studio in Dupont Circle. Her dream was to make yoga affordable, welcoming, and meaningful for everyone, no matter their background. What started as one small studio quickly grew into a community, all guided by Jasmine’s belief in inclusive and mindful teaching. Yoga District continues to carry that same spirit of sharing yoga not just as exercise, but as a way to heal, connect, and grow together!

Flow Yoga Center was started in 2004 by Debra Misha Love with a holistic dream in her heart. She wanted a yoga studio that felt warm, bright, and full of life. A place where any person could slow down and feel at home. With nothing more than a short business plan and her savings, she opened the very first Flow Yoga Center in a small P Street building. The space had orange walls, a purple staircase, and plenty of heart. Soon after, her partner Ian joined her, turning Flow into a true family effort.
