The town known as, ‘The World Capital of Yoga’, Rishikesh is set along the Holy Ganga River in India. Set at the foot of the Himalayas, Hindu temples fill the streets of Rishikesh. At any given moment, you can hear the reverberating chants of mantras and see yogis deep in meditation along the Ganga Ghats (broad steps leading down to the Holy River).
Made famous by The Beatles in the late 60s, Rishikesh has remained a magnet for New-Agers and spiritual pilgrims alike. And it’s no wonder. With breathtaking mountain views, heaps of ashrams, meditation and yoga classes galore, it’s a seeker’s daydream.
And if you’re into more than just yoga, Rishikesh has all kinds of adventures for the wanderlust traveler. Beautiful hikes, white water rafting tours and a thriving downtown area full of artists and musicians make Rishikesh a great place for any globetrotter.
The perfect place to rediscover yourself and expand your mind, Rishikesh is as good as it gets when it comes to practicing yoga or starting a new chapter in your life. This is why we at Siddhi Yoga have chosen it as one of our prime locations for teacher training in India.
Hotel Moksha has been setting the mark for fine living and high hospitality standards in Rishikesh for over a decade. Their desire to serve guests in the finest manner possible makes them one of the best hotels in Rishikesh.
Hotel Moksha offers an ideal location for travelers seeking a retreat from chaotic city life. The hotel is strategically located in a tranquil setting just a short walk from the marketplace. This ensures that Siddhi Yoga students can relax in a peaceful environment while remaining near the most exciting parts of the city.

You can relax in the comfort of your own private room with an attached bathroom, equipped with a hot and cold shower and enjoy full access to 24-hour Wi-Fi Internet. Hotel Moksha is within minutes’ walk of shops, restaurants and coffee shops.
You’ll stay with fellow yogis under the same roof of Hotel Moksha. The close vicinity—with plenty of room for privacy—will help you make friendships that last a lifetime.
The Yoga Diet is all about aligning with nature and learning to eat in a way that connects you with yourself and the planet.
Because a nourished body creates a healthy foundation for one’s mind and emotions, we’ll provide you with fresh, vibrant cuisine and a mix of healing and grounding meals.
Think abundant salads, mixed vegetable dishes, soups, daal, rice and plenty of fresh, local fruits. Our aim is to create balance and strength in the body; to heal the organs, tissues, muscles and bones that will be working hard for your month of training and beyond.
You will enjoy three delicious Indian vegetarian meals Monday through Friday. On Saturday, only breakfast and lunch will be served. No meals are provided on Sunday; instead, you can enjoy the vibrant foodie scene of Rishikesh and get a true taste of Indian food.
The Yoga Hall is the place where you’ll spend most of your time. For this reason, we’ve ensured it’s large, comfortable and air conditioned.
Siddhi Yoga’s foundation is a healing-focused therapeutic technique and workout program based on proper alignment, anatomical awareness and education.
Our primary goal is to provide a holistic teacher training program. We want to not only prepare you to be a fantastic yoga instructor, but also to help you grow your practice and learn all aspects of the yogic lifestyle.
This program stretches beyond the physical practice of yoga and dives into the mental and spiritual side, as well. You will be pushed beyond your limits in all areas of life—providing you with the opportunity to grow as a yogi and a human being.
From the history of yoga to human anatomy and physiology, we’ll cover topics you didn’t even know existed.
This is not a training course that simply has its students practice for eight hours a day. No, this is a course that will help students become teachers, as well as cultivate a solid physical and spiritual practice.
We’ll cover meditation, chakras and pranayama. You’ll go from practicing yogi to full-time yogi in the course of a month.
However, we want to make sure you maintain balance in your life. That’s why we’ve created our program to include excursions and free time to explore your surrounding area. We’ll hold bonfires, prayer sessions and kirtan, and there are plenty of other activities around the city to keep you busy each weekend.
As for what you’ll learn throughout the course, the list is endless. But to give you an idea, we’ll cover:
We offer a breath-based instructor training, which means your breath will guide you through the proper posture. The improper use of the muscles involved in breathing, such as the diaphragm, leaves other muscles strained with overuse, a prime physiological reason for muscle stress injuries.
However, an undeveloped breathing pattern is a powerful source of numerous psychological problems as well. This is why, along with the proper poses and counter-poses, specific pranayama practices will be taught to bring the body into perfect equilibrium.
Postural adjustment through yoga asana is a traditional and unique scientific practice. Yoga teachers and therapists with knowledge of this specific technique can help practitioners use their bodies in a more balanced and correct way, both in their yoga practice as well as daily life.
Additionally, you will be taught the importance of a proper muscle warm-up to prevent injury and help future students into poses more safely. We’ll discuss the use of props like blocks, blankets, chairs, bolsters, etc. to reap the full benefits of asana and to promote healing and recovery from injuries while aiding in proper bodily alignment.
Siddhi Yoga’s Teacher Training is the perfect environment to step outside your comfort zone and explore new aspects of yourself. The calming environment will help you tune out and tune in to your deepest self. You’ll have the opportunity to rediscover and reinvent yourself.
You will experience yoga as a lifestyle instead of a simple practice, and you’ll leave ready to begin the journey of your career as a yoga teacher.
This training course follows comprehensive Yoga Alliance guidelines, and complements these with rich teachings of traditional yoga that have been handed down to Indian yoga gurus from their ancestors. This creates a deeply yogic environment, going beyond the asanas to provide a comprehensive learning experience to students.

TIME OFF: Saturday afternoons and all day Sundays are free for you to enjoy and bask in all that Rishikesh has to offer. From markets to hindu temples and journeys through Ganga Ghat, Rishikesh has so much to explore.
When you read about experiences in Rishikesh you can always read "life changing experience" and as a reaction you face maybe sceptical, maybe curious, maybe just not react...
I came to do yoga, I tried not to have expectations. Thinking to do the same kind of yoga activity as I do in London and trying to improve and finding a quiet place for a peace of my mind.
The reason I chose Siddhi was merely related to the neat and clear website: everything shown, everything written and I do not deny, very affordable.
Then I contacted Meera. She has been, since the first email very kind, very polite, so professional. I liked it!!!
So I went.
What I found in Rishikesh?
Yoga, discipline, friends, myself.
Since the very first day we started to go in to deep with asanas: Parveen worked hard with us teaching alignments in order to keep postures in perfect way. It was tiring repeating over and over. And honestly, before breakfast he is strict, very serious!
After a nice peanut butter honey or jam toast or peanut butter honey porridge (inventory by one of my mates) everything was much easier ☺️
I loved every single day. Hard but rewarding. I could see myself improve.
I have been guided to my journey by Parveen and Tara trying to know the better style and the confidence to share with others my knowledge.
Summit helped a lot to understand my body and Siddhart my mind. I loved to be here and now and it has been the best experience of freedom.
I will bring it with me forever.
Thank you so much!!!!
I just completed my TT200hrs in Rishikesh with Parveen ji, Tara ji, Siddartha ji and Sumit ji. I loved every single second of being there! I learnt so much and while there is still so much to learn I feel I have made a great foundation to continue to build upon. All the teachers are amazing, kind and very inspiring.
I'm looking forward to continuing this journey back home in Australia, my self practice is going to be soooo much more beneficial now and I'm very much looking forward to teaching!
Hopefully in a year or so Siddhi will be offering a 300hr TT and I'll be ready to go back and experience more and gain more knowledge!
Rishikesh is beautiful! I love the Cows and all the super yum food!!!
And Hotel Moksha and the staff there are fantastic!
Life Changing experience to be Had!
I have completed my YTT200 with Siddhi Yoga at Rishikesh, the Yoga capital of the world. It was a great experience. Siddhi Yoga introduced me to the Spiritual journey and Yogic way of living.
The course covered all aspects of Yoga including theory and practice. Instructor Deep has a deep and thorough knowledge of Yoga. He conducted this training along with Gurumukhji and Dr.Sumitji, who are well equipped in their fields. I very much enjoyed Deeps friendly, flexible but firm way of teaching!! During this time, I also made friends with like-minded people from around the world, who were on the same journey.
I would recommend anyone to take this journey with Siddhi Yoga for personal enrichment and inner peace.
My experience in the Yoga TT in Rishikesh September 2015, was very good. Teachers were fantastic and the organization too. I was really lucky because also my peers were amazing people. Thanks to everybody.
Overall, I had a good experience in the Yoga Teacher's Training at Siddhi Yoga in Rishikesh, India. The lead teacher, Parveen Nair and our Flow Yoga teacher, Tara Dutt Kandpal, are excellent teachers. Their instructions were clear and precise, and their energy were calming yet vibrant. They were able to respond very well to my inquiries about the practice and the philosophy of yoga in a way which was clear and easy to understand. They are both inspiring teachers and I highly recommend them.
Wow! How can ever describe the magic and connectedness of my month long course with Siddhi Yoga. Every element aligned perfectly with our needs and the teaching was comprehensive, supportive and deep. As we journeyed through philosophical landscapes and challenged our physicality in ways we couldn't imagine, so we transcended our daily limitations and entered a space of peace and freedom where we could work with our most powerful selves. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, I cannot rate this course highly enough. Wish I could go back and do it all again.
I must say it is really wonderful to take up this Yoga Teacher Teaching Course in Siddhi Yoga Daramsala. It provides excellent environment at the foot of the Himalayas with spectacular scenic view. The teachers are very experienced, resourceful, practical, passionate, kind and always taking care all of us. The teaching is very systematic, comprehensive and interesting. After one month of vegetarian food in the campus I have become more healthier and started to take more vegetarian food after the course. All of us graduated with a big smile! :)
Life changing experience which can definitely be recommended to anyone! My lower back pain of 20 years was cured within 2 weeks partly because of core exercises we were given but I also think the physiotherapeutical angle to the yoga we were taught helped. And the mind blowing philosophy classes probably takes most people on a journey way beyond anything they have experienced before, at least it did for me!
Completing my teacher training with Siddhi Yoga is one of the best decisions I have ever made! My teachers were extremely knowledgeable, loving, and supportive. I learned more than I thought possible. Highly recommended!
This course is a Beautiful combination of clinical and excellent life style modification, through physical mental and spiritual understanding and knowledge. Teachers are awesome and good focus on application of Yoga in our today's life.
I had befriended my sciatica pain because had tried many treatments, but just in a week my pain has subsided. Have gain my mental strength, awareness, good posture.
Made lovely friends and after ages laughed my heart out with all of them. Loved being here and will ensure my teacher's effort on me won't go waste. Thanks a ton to Guruji, Sindhuja, Ritesh, Dr. Amrita, Gurumukh and both Sonu's.
I recommend this teacher training course to anyone that has a passion for Yoga and wants to share that passion with others! From the true yoga aspect that yoga is all about experiencing a joining of mind, body and soul, my experience was a successful 1000%. Completing this course is one of the proudest accomplishments in my life. We all came from different positions in life, we shared them and melded to join together to complete this journey -to commitment to learn how to teach the wonderful lessons of Yoga. IT has truly taught me to accept discomfort on the mat and I bring that off the mat to help cope with everyday business life. I have learned to meditate - everyday. Thank you to all of my teachers.
I was very happy with my YTT. I am looking forward to starting to teach yoga myself and would consider Siddhi Yoga when I'm ready to complete further training.
The school was absolutely amazing, I learn so much about so many different styles of yoga. I would recommend this school to anyone who want to learn Yoga to its depth.
