Yoga with 'Deep' is a healing-based therapeutic technique & workout that is based on proper alignment & anatomical awareness & education. The aim of the training is to restore balanced & correct posture to the body through neutral positioning of the limbs from feet, knees, pelvis, spine, ribcage & skull. According to modern studies, a balanced posture allows the human body to develop strength & stamina, whilst healing faster & more efficiently.
We offer a breath-based yoga teacher training, which means your breath will be your guide towards the posture that is right for you. An important concept to understand is the importance of diaphragm-breathing. The diaphragm is a muscle in the abdominal cavity that contracts during inhalation. When posture is imbalanced, the rib cage & spine are in a position that does not allow them to correctly use the proper muscles during breathing, which leads to other muscles being overused & strained. This is one of the physiological reasons of muscle stress injury.
Besides that, the yoga sutras state that an undeveloped & poor breathing pattern is one of the main reasons of numerous psychological problems. Therefore, along with the proper poses & counter poses, specific pranayama are taught to bring the body into perfect equilibrium.Postural adjustment through yoga asana is a traditional & unique scientific way. Yoga teachers & therapists with knowledge of this specific technique can help a practitioner use their body in a more balanced & correct way in their yoga practice as well as daily life.
Students will be taught the importance of proper warming up of the muscles to prevent injuries. The Pawanmuktasana series which comprises of 15 asanas will be taught to open up the hips, knees & joints, & allow blood flow to the muscles, nerves & inner glands.
Students will be taught the proper use of props like blocks, blankets, chairs, bolsters etc. to reap the full benefits of asana. The usage of props is to promote healing & recovery from injuries whilst preventing mis-alignment in the body.

His love for Patanjali Yoga Sutras has enabled him to portray these ancient rules of practicing yoga to modern society in a contemporary way. Deep is an ERYT-500 affiliated yoga teacher approved by Yoga Alliance, USA. Tantra Yin Yoga Training with Deep in New Delhi: a real jewel!!!! At the age of 7 years, Guru Mukh was sent to a monastery by his parents where he lived for next 12 years. During his study years in monastery, he learnt different philosophies about life revealed to him by ancient Indian sages. This pious learning at an early age laid a strong spiritual foundation in his nature. At the monastery, he also came to learn about ancient meditation techniques through traditional hatha yoga practice.
After his monastery education, he took a diploma in Computer Science and started a career as web designer. In 2008, after working in the IT industry for 5 years, Guru Mukh finally decided to quit his job and follow the path he believed he was born to tread upon. He received OSHO Sanyaas Initiation in the same year and OSHO's vibrant spiritual lessons helped him in further on the path he has chosen for himself.
Since then he has been an inseparable part of yoga community. Here at Siddhi Yoga, he shares his understanding in the teachings of Traditional Hatha Yoga, Philosophies, Pranayama, Meditations and various Cleansing Processes, while occasionally expressing his being through Reiki, Singing and Playing a String Instrument called 'Dilruba'.
As he puts it, "Yoga surely helps to stay relaxed in any degree of situational and emotional intensity."
I knew within the first few moments of meeting Gurumukh that he was a true yoga teacher who does not merely practice and teach yoga, but truly lives by it in each moment. I have been fortunate to have been around many great yoga teachers, and none of them with as deep a commitment and complete understanding of yoga as him. Gurumukh was my philosophy teacher during my teacher training and I think that he is one of the most inspiring persons I met . In his philosophy classes he was sharing the ancient and traditional practices of yoga as well as talking on many philosophical questions of a great importance then and now. With a good sense of empathy and flexibility he was open to explore whatever came up in the class , picking up every student on his own level of understanding . Gurumukhs words are profound and deep but still there is always a lot of space for joy and laughter. He is one of those teachers with whom you feel that they are living their wisdom every single day . Under his gentle and warm guidance we could create a space for gaining a deeper understanding how important love and togetherness are. In Meditation classes we explored many different ways and techniques to find meditation and exchanged our experiences. Dr. Sumit is expert in the field of Physical Therapy and posture imbalance and sedentary life disorders.
He did his Masters of Physical Therapy in Musculoskeletal Disorders in Orthopedic Branch and diploma in Sports Medicine from West Bengal. He is also a certified Pilate's trainer from Indian Academy of Fitness Training Mangalore. His simple and contemporary style of delivering deep and practical knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology endear him to his students. He has taught few hundred students from more than 35 countries and he mainly focus on the therapeutic aspects of yoga.
How the different postural imbalance or spinal disorders can be corrected. Since childhood he is leaving around the himlayas in rishikesh. He has a good knowledge of Ayurveda and good hands on pain relief techniques and also conducted different workshops on yoga functional anatomy, massage therapy, soft tissue release, myofascial release and pain relief techniques. He did his Certificate in Manual Therapy from Capri Institute New Delhi under the guidance of Dr. Deepak Kumar the only Accredited Mulligan Therapy Teacher in INDIA.
He has tremendous experience orthopedics surgeries rehabilitation program. He dealt more than 500 cases of orthopedic disorders and postural disorders.
Sumit is a true example of great teaching practice. He delivered the anatomy modules in a uniquely coherent, assimilated way. Not only were his classes informative and thorough but also enjoyable.
