Siddhartha Veer

Rishikesh, India

Siddhartha Veer, born in a traditional Indian family, grew up around the temples and ashrams of great sage Neem Karoli Baba. These ashram visits and wandering in himalayan foothills gave him deep spiritual understanding of the ancient vedic wisdom.

As a result of his wanderings and past life Samskaras, he met and served Revered M.M Swami Veda Bharati, one of the greatest Vedic Scholar of 21st century, who guided him and initiated him on the path of meditation. He has studied Advaita Vedanta texts under H.H Swami Dayananda Saraswati and M.M Swami Abhishek Chaitanya Giri.

Siddhartha comes from a commerce and tourism background. Currently lives in Rishikesh and teaches Yoga Philosophy, meditation & relaxation techniques. He is well known for his meditative chants over harmonium. Through his intutive insight and style of teaching he takes his students on a different level of understanding which shows his dedication towards Yoga. As his master has said to many- “The world has a misery, the world has suffering. Do what you can, to reduce the pain. Do what you can, to soothe their minds

Yoga Style: I go for Iyengar Yoga when it comes to my Asana practice. It’s therapeutic benefits helps me to understand my body at a greater levels. It makes me balanced and grounded well

Programs I teach at Siddhi Yoga: I teach Yoga Darshana here. I help students to understand how Yoga is a pure science, philosophy and psychology at the same time. I take them to the deeper levels of meditation through meditative chants over harmonium.

Favorite yoga pose: Series of Surya Namaskara is my favourite as of now. It removes the sluggishness from the body and I can sit with more mindfulness in my Dhyana.

My favorite place in the world: Himalayan region is still my favourite place where I often go to live in solitude. One can go deeper and understand the different realms of their own self at these beautiful Himalayan places. Himalayas have very high spiritual potency.

Every day in Siddharth’s class was inspiring and calming. At first, I was unsure about the philosophy portion of the course but his way of teaching was to share stories and information (vs enforcing ideals upon you) for your own knowledge. His classes had a comfort and ease that allowed you to fully absorb the teachings.

Siddhart is also an excellent harmonium player! Each class began with his beautiful melodies and I truly miss the moments we spent there.

I just wanted to thank you for an amazing phylosophy class I attended in August. The knowledge you shared is so valued by each of us. I could spend hours just listening to your stories, examples and life experiences. I enjoyed your approachable and easy way of teaching. You made hard topics very easy to grasp and understand. And of course your harmonium chanting made me want to stay in meditation forever! Wish you all the best in your future.

It is amazing to realize how much depth of understanding of the sutras and 8 limbs of yoga you can get in 200h teacher training. Keep it up, Siddhartha!

Taking part to Siddhartha classes made regret not to have studied philosophy before. I enjoyed so much to listen to him. He made all the complex subjects so easy thanks his competence and the example that could offer: in a couple of occasions I felt my heart to expand, I was so happy that I needed to cry. I need to thank him for give these emotions and remind me the happiness to be here and now.

Last but not least… His voice… He opened every class with chanting made me meditating so well. He is an excellent teacher with a great sense of humour as well. I hope to see you again.

“Life is a test and in the process of clearing various phases of this test, we learn a lot of lessons that help in developing our mindset and lifestyle. The philosophy class of this course has come as a referesher in my life and has taken my understanding of life and its daily issues to the next level. My mindset, thought process and aptitude have all reached a new level from the learnings I have obtained from Sidhartha sir in Yoga philosophy. His spiritual stories of great sages and his clear vision towards life left a great influence on me as a part of transformation. If I talk something about his chanting, I must say his voice is divine. I never felt that calmness and meditativeness in my mind ever before which comes with his voice while chanting during the course. May God bless him with all the divinity and eternal peace”.

First of all, thank you so much for it. I enjoyed it very much. And it says a lot as I’ve never been into philosophy, it wasmy no 1 item on the black list of my business school courses 😉 So it’s quite an achievement of yours!

It was great you shared with us your knowledge in an interesting and open-minded way, allowing discussion and being open to our questions and different points of view. I also enjoyed very much the fact that you shar‎ed with us all the “side” stories, illustrating your points with your personal experience and the insights into lives and teachings of many inspiring yoga personalities. And on top of it, you’ve got a great gift for music – it was unbeatable, the “musical” meditation!!

Thanks once more and hopefully see you next time!
With all my best wishes

Siddhartha is a wonderful inspiring teacher, Philosophy class was such a pleasant way to end our day of classes, leaving you with plenty to pounder and think about.  Class is held as more of a discussion, time to listen and absorb, Siddhartha has great eye contact with all students and is able to maintain interest and captivate the class with his words of knowledge and wisdom. He explains all subjects well and is open to questions and discussion to be sure that everyone understands what he is saying. I also feel that even if you don’t understand everything at that point in time, it’s still sinking into the brain and will all make sense one day later in life.

Each day Siddhartha would open the class by holding the space with his chanting and harmonium playing while we mediated listening to his voice, music and being in that moment. This experience in its self is hard to explain, his voice is incredible. This I will greatly miss hearing every day!
