Yoga Style: The Style of Yoga I like when it comes to my asana practice is Iyengar Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga .These styles provide a deeper understanding for my body to proform the asanas with a safe and confident environment. The styles has the ability to bring me closer to a balanced practice of yoga from Asanas to Dhyana (meditation)
Programs I teach at Siddhi Yoga: I am the lead teacher at the Siddhi Yoga TTC programm in Rishikesh. I teach the main asana class and a Yoga lab class I would like to call it, In which the class comprises of Alignment and Adjustments of Yoga asanas.
Favorite yoga pose: My favorite poses are back extensions and inversion. These two asana categories has the ability to rejuvenate and remove sluggishness of the body and mind , preparing me to flow into a better pranayama practice.
My favorite place in the world: My favorite place in the world is the Himalayas. The Emerald green Ganga river water flowing down from the breath taking mountains of the Himalayas decorated with snow caps with Divine temples of Gods. The scenic view of the Himalayas is matchless to any other place. For me this is home , to be one with the nature.

Namaste, My name is Louis, am a Yoga teacher from Malaysia. I started practising Yoga in 2008 with my teacher, Shri Parveen Nair in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. When I first started Yoga I was completely new to the practice, it was Parveen ji who have inspired me so much in taking up this ancient discipline – Yoga.
Parveen ji is an amazing teacher who always has the best interest of his students at heart. He is patient, kind but very firm, and most importantly he has extensive knowledge on this ancient science of Yoga and Vedanta which makes his yoga classes interesting.
“a smooth sea never made a skillful sailor”, Parveen ji is a teacher who emphasises on quality teaching and learning, he may be very firm in his teaching but he has nurtured many in the path of Yoga, I have seen him help many others of different ages and experience levels, and would highly recommend him highly as an inspiring teacher of Yoga.
Parveen is a true example of great teaching practice. After my 25 years in the teaching profession I’m more than aware how rare it is to find a teacher (in any field of study) with such a high level of subject knowledge as well as the talent and discipline to apply it as effectively as he can. It was truly an honor to be one of his students.
From the thorough and well designed asana Classes to the execution of Iyengar theory to demonstrating and delivering his high level expertise in an interesting and valuable way, he installed the tools and confidence for me to impart this knowledge and understanding to my students as a new yoga teacher.
I had the great privilege to meet Parveen Nair last February in India and have him as main teacher at my 200h YTT course. He is such a professional teacher who can give you the most solid fundamentals for your Yoga practice and teaching.
Parveen’s yoga classes follow the most authentic lineage of BKS Iyengar from whom he had the opportunity to learn for many years. His teaching methodology of asanas is so clear and detailed that he brings you to feel on your own body first, each and every subtle movement while performing any posture, with the aim of controlling them and gradually become competent to teach to your students.
You will be required of quite a lot of effort and work in his classes but you will learn so much that you will incredibly miss them once the course is finished!
As a yogi with ten years of practice, I can say that Parveen is one of the best teachers I have ever practiced with. I especially enjoyed his training on the use of props and the preparation for advanced asanas: his progressive approach to postures definitively makes easier the difficult!
Personally, I will be always grateful to Parveen for showing me, through his example, how to live a Yoga lifestyle on and off the mat. On one hand, he taught me how effort and constancy take you to a deeper maturity in the practice, but, more important to me, on the other hand, he showed me what yoga is like in your daily life. There is a lot you can do off your mat trying to be the best version of yourself: from what you eat, for example, to real appliance of Yamas and Nyamas…Parveen has an amazing generosity and is always happy to share his great knowledge!
In the end, if you have the chance, please don’t miss his class!
