Mahinder Prasad (Guru Mahi)Mahinder was blessed to be born in a family which was committed to yoga and other vedic sciences. He started learning yoga from his father at an early age. In his adolescence years, he travelled across ashrams around India, meeting gurus and sages and absorbing knowledge from them.
He is an advocate of therapeutic yoga and believes that our body needs the balance of yoga and Ayurveda to keep all ailments at bay.
Mahi, has certifications from Yoga Alliance in USA and Canada with E-RYT 200 and E-RYT 500, an E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) by Yoga Alliance International India and recognition from Indian government.
DeepBorn under the name Deepak Kumar, Deep began his yoga journey in 1994 at Tapovan Dhyan Dham Vidyapeeth, a classical yoga ashram located at the foothills of the Himalayas. After learning yoga with its core traditional values, Deep pursued advanced yoga teacher training course at the world renowned Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute. There he was trained in various yoga forms and learnt Iyengar, Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin yoga, Meditation, and Pranayama extensively.
His love for Patanjali Yoga Sutras has enabled him to portray these ancient rules of practicing yoga to modern society in a contemporary way. This, combined with his understanding of anatomy, physiology, and psychology help students in going deeper into yoga practice by adapting a balance d mix of traditional and modern approach.
Deep is an ERYT-500 affiliated yoga teacher approved by Yoga Alliance, USA. Apart from that, he is also associated with International Yoga Federation, Europe and is registered with Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute. In his prolific career as a yoga teacher, he has taught yoga in many countries including Malaysia, Australia, Thailand, Singapore, Egypt and Holland.
Deep also conducts Corporate Yoga Training workshops, in which he teaches about healing different body systems. He specializes in mind-body techniques and help students in getting relieved from the impacts of stress and anxiety on mind and body.
In the spirit of yoga, he provides free yoga lessons in many charitable organizations. Recently, he has also published a book on yoga therapies for common ailments such as anxiety, asthma, hypertension, diabetes, chronic pain, etc.
Deep firmly believes that Yoga is a combination of science and art that guides us towards the right way of living.
Guru MukhAt the age of 7 years, Guru Mukh was sent to a monastery by his parents where he lived for next 12 years. During his study years in monastery, he learnt different philosophies about life revealed to him by ancient Indian sages. This pious learning at an early age laid a strong spiritual foundation in his nature. At the monastery, he also came to learn about ancient meditation techniques through traditional hatha yoga practice.
After his monastery education, he took a diploma in Computer Science and started a career as web designer. In 2008, after working in the IT industry for 5 years, Guru Mukh finally decided to quit his job and follow the path he believed he was born to tread upon. He received OSHO Sanyaas Initiation in the same year and OSHO's vibrant spiritual lessons helped him in further on the path he has chosen for himself.
Since then he has been an inseparable part of yoga community. Here at Siddhi Yoga, he shares his understanding in the teachings of Traditional Hatha Yoga, Philosophies, Pranayama, Meditations and various Cleansing Processes, while occasionally expressing his being through Reiki, Singing and Playing a String Instrument called 'Dilruba'.
As he puts it, "Yoga surely helps to stay relaxed in any degree of situational and emotional intensity."
Dr. Sumit SharmaDr. Sumit is expert in the field of Physical Therapy and posture imbalance and sedentary life disorders.
He did his Masters of Physical Therapy in Musculoskeletal Disorders in Orthopedic Branch and diploma in Sports Medicine from West Bengal. He is also a certified Pilate's trainer from Indian Academy of Fitness Training Mangalore. His simple and contemporary style of delivering deep and practical knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology endear him to his students. He has taught few hundred students from more than 35 countries and he mainly focus on the therapeutic aspects of yoga.
How the different postural imbalance or spinal disorders can be corrected. Since childhood he is leaving around the himlayas in rishikesh. He has a good knowledge of Ayurveda and good hands on pain relief techniques and also conducted different workshops on yoga functional anatomy, massage therapy, soft tissue release, myofascial release and pain relief techniques. He is a lead teacher in academy of manual medicine.
At present He is working as a Head of Department at Nirmal Ashram Hospital Rishikesh and Chief Physiotherapist at Shiva Cricket Academy Rishikesh. He did his Certificate in Manual Therapy from Capri Institute New Delhi under the guidance of Dr. Deepak Kumar the only Accredited Mulligan Therapy Teacher in INDIA.
He has tremendous experience orthopedics surgeries rehabilitation program. He dealt more than 500 cases of orthopedic disorders and postural disorders.
Acharya YogeshAcharya Yogesh’s keen interest in yoga and alternate healing along with love for science have allowed him to not only master the art of yoga and vedic healing sciences but have also helped him build his yogic lessons atop scientific reasoning. His lessons are interesting and inspiring for the students.
Yogesh has expertise in alternate healing using chakra therapy/cleansing and balancing using Ayurveda, Chakra therapy, mudra therapy, yoga and pranic healing.
Dr. Amrita SharmaWell known for her teachings worldwide, Dr. Amrita has trained thousands of aspiring yoga teachers in different parts of the world. She delivers lectures and seminars on various topics such as Ayurveda, naturopathy, stress management, chakra healing, yoga and meditation, as well as conducts special workshops on women welfare.
She began her journey in the field of health and wellness after graduating in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery from an eminent university in India. After which she continued to enhance her knowledge through Ayurvedic research and further studies. Her passion for natural herbs and their medical utilities finally led her to study yoga and naturopathy in greater depth.
She is a well-known writer and her work is published in several leading health magazines. She also continues to participate in several radio talk shows to give advice on how to cure various health issues and improve lifestyle and sheds light on importance of Ayurveda.
Her belief is that true health transcends beyond the physical body and reflects one’s mental agility and spiritual wellbeing – something that can only be achieved through yoga.
HariHari had the privilege of being born in a family who followed the teachings of Raman Maha Rishi’s , living in a village in Himalaya Mountains, which many believe is the home of yoga. The family environment allowed him to start his yoga journey at a very young age. As he grew older, he started to take yoga lessons from learned yogis and sages in the vicinity who taught him that yoga can only be learned from within and a person himself is his best teacher.
Later under the guidance of Sharat Arora, a great Iyengar guru, he began to practice Iyenger yoga, which he continues to practice as well as teach at Siddhi Yoga. Hari believes that physical and mental peace can come only through proper alignment of the body in yoga postures is the key to physical and mental peace, and loves to share his wealth of knowledge with his students. In his words, “Yoga as a way to uncover the complete potential of liberation, which is dormant in every human being.”
Anushree SinghGraduated with honors in yoga philosophy from Mumbai University , Anuhree was first introduced to hatha yoga by her guru Dr. Omanand Ji at Paramanand Ashram Indore. She completed her 200 hrs teacher training program in hatha yoga and yoga therapy,and conducts therapeutic classes related to diseases of the endocrine system including Thyroid, diabetes, insomnia, and hormonal imbalances and autoimmune disorders like multiple sclerosis. She has profound knowledge of yoga anatomy and has taught YTTC students in Rishikesh and Goa. Including classes in yoga philosophy , physiology and meditation.
Anushree has studied the breathing patterns in detail including digital pranayama and breathing techniques in yoga practice. She is also proficient in ashtanga yoga which was initiated by her French teacher who is a student at Pittabha Jois Yogashala in Mysore .
Her style of simplifying complex postures is unique, and her approach to hatha yoga is not merely physical but spiritual thereby introducing yoga to her students in a different light .
Petra LeschingerovaPetra has a strong background and education in fitness and nutrition for competitive sports for over 10 years. Since 2012 she focuses on Yoga as she felt that this is her true path from the first contact. To her Yoga is the intense synthesis of body, mind and soul and thus the only way to find to balance in your current life. She continuously studies the Mythology and Philosophy of Yoga on the search for a deeper understanding. Her Yoga is inspired by Vinyasa and Ashtanga flow styles. But she also strongly considers the benefits and possibilities of therapeutic yoga. In Munich, Germany she teaches at her Yoga Studio Pure Asana.
Bjoern MarcusBorn in Denmark, Bjoern started working with his body at a very early age studying dance from the age of 4, transitioning from working as a professional dancer to the fitness industry but always practicing yoga for recovering his physical and mental balance. Having completed his YTTC with Siddhi Yoga in 2013, under the careful tutelage of Guru Mahi, Bjoern continued on to teach with Siddhi Yoga as well as in Guru Mahi's own drop in class studio in Goa. Passionate about the philosophy behind the world of Yoga and various styles such as Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga Vinyasa, Bjoern's deep passion lies within the therapeutic powers of asana practice on both the body and mind.
Buddhi PrakashBuddhi Prakash has been practicing yoga and sadhna(meditation) from early childhood. He is a disciple of Maharshri Mahesh Yogi and was initiated into the Shankarcharya tradition by the great guru. He has post graduate degree in yoga philosophy and a D.N.Y.S in Yoga and Transcendental Meditation.
He is accomplished in yoga, meditation, reiki and other vedic literature. His simple style and loving nature have made him immensely popular among yoga lovers.
